City Increasing Allowed Number of Residential Garbage Bags

Published on: 2020/03/19 - in News

Until April 5, the City of Kingston is increasing the number of garbage bags – from 1 to 4 – that each household is allowed to put out. This change is being instituted to help self-isolating individuals and families to dispose of their garbage safely.

Residents are being asked to continue complying with the one bag limit if possible and only put out up to four bags if absolutely necessary.

The program will be evaluated before its conclusion date to determine if it should be extended.
