Following a successful March Break week of fun, Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area will continue hosting Maple Madness for the next two weekends – March 23 & 24 and March 30 & 31.
Special activities for visitors include a tractor-drawn wagon into the sugar bush to watch how early settlers made maple syrup and how it’s done today. There will also be tree tapping demonstrations, self-guided Sugar Bush Tours, First Nations Display, the annual Conservation Foundation bake sale, and ‘Old Tyme Sugar Bush Chores’.
New this year are puppet shows for the kids as well as face painting, which happens each Sunday throughout Maple Madness. Also back this year, due to popular demand, is the CRCA’s photo contest.
