Platinum selling country star Dallas Smith has announced his 2017 “Side Effects Tour” – presented by Old Camp and featuring a stop here in Kingston.
Kicking off in Halifax on October 12th, Smith will be performing in 26 cities across the country that includes a Rogers K-Rock Centre concert on October 19th. The Cadillac Three & Lauren Alaina will also be performing at the Kingston show.
The “Side Effects Tour” announcement follows Smith’s record fourth #1 single at Canadian country radio with “Sky Stays This Blue” (video below), a first for a Canadian male country artist. He’s also become the first Canadian artist in both the Nielsen BDS and Mediabase era to have three consecutive #1 singles and the first Canadian male country artist to have three #1 singles from the same album (Side Effects).
Smith, who performed at the 2017 JUNO Awards national broadcast in Ottawa earlier this year, is currently nominated for four Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) Awards including Male Artist of the Year, Single of the Year, Album of the Year and the Apple Music Fans’ Choice Award. He will also be performing at the CCMA Awards show in Saskatoon on September 10th.
