Beginning tomorrow, The City of Kingston’s Recreation and Leisure Services department is launching a new application that will make it easier to register for programs and access online recreation services.

“Creating a new online PLAY account makes it easier to review, find and register for recreation activities” said Jaclyn Grimmon, manager, recreation programs. “It also makes it easier for us to communicate with those accessing our programs, facilities and services.”

The City has posted a series of dates for registering for spring and summer recreation programs:

  • Starting March 13 – Sign up for your new PLAY account at CityofKingston.ca/PLAY and view classes, programs and lessons online. Creating an account is simple and free. NOTE: current family bar codes and PIN numbers will be deactivated on March 13.
  • March 14 – the 2019 spring & summer recreation and leisure guide will be delivered in Kingston This Week and available at City recreation facilities.
  • March 21 at 6 p.m. – Spring and summer program registration begins online and in-person at designated recreation facilities.

Residents are advised to create an account before March 21 to simplify the registration experience. Step-by-step instructions and Frequently Asked Questions are available online.

Questions about the program can be answered at 613-546-4291 ext. 1900, 1800 or 1700 or by dropping by the Artillery Park Aquatic Centre, INVISTA Centre, and Rideau Heights Community Centre and Library.
