A Prescription Drug Drop-Off in Kingston is set to take place on Saturday, May 11 from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
The drop off will be conducted by Kingston Police, in partnership with the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police and the Ontario Pharmacists’ Association.
They are asking people to bring old or unused prescription medication bottles as a measure to prevent the abuse of prescription drugs and other risk concerns.
Participants should remove or black out the bottle labels, and drop them off at the Memorial Centre at 303 York St (map) in the west parking lot by the barns.
Police have stated that this is an anonymous drop-off and “no questions are asked”.
