Support Local Choirs by Dining at Cathedral’s Spaghetti Dinner

UPDATE: The spaghetti dinner in support of the St. George’s Cathedral Children’s Choir and Teen Choir will be served on Saturday January 28 from 5pm to 7pm has been cancelled.

Today is National Spaghetti Day – the perfect time to make plans to attend the annual spaghetti dinner in support of the St. George’s Cathedral Children’s Choir and Teen Choir.

The dinner will be served on Saturday January 28 from 5pm to 7pm in the Cathedral Great Hall at 129 Wellington Street in Kingston.

Both gluten-free and vegetarian options available and the cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children, and $25 for families (2 adults with children).

Inquiries are welcome for anyone interested in become a choir member too. There is no membership fee, and no requirement for previous musical experience.

Youth may also be interested in having some fun (and pizza) at St. George’s Cathedral’s informal program for young people aged 12 to 17 on Fridays from 5:30pm to 7pm that begins on January 13. They also take place at the Cathedral Great Hall.

Late January will also see a service of Choral Evensong, with the combined choirs of St. George’s Cathedral and St. Mary’s Cathedral at St. George’s Cathedral, at 270 King Street East (at Johnson), on Sunday 29 January at 5pm. The choirs will sing music by Tomás Luis de Victoria and William Harris.
