Published on: 2015/04/02 - in Releases

Mayor Bryan Paterson and the City of Kingston have posted best wishes along with highlighting a number of City closures and schedule changes for the 2015 Easter holiday weekend .

Message from the Mayor: Enjoy the long weekend

The Easter weekend is fast approaching and I want to wish all Kingstonians a very enjoyable and safe long weekend with family and friends.

The Easter weekend will create some schedule changes to city services and municipal office hours. This includes Kingston Transit, which will not run on Friday but will run on the regular schedule Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Green bin, garbage, and recycling collection will be affected with no collection on Friday or Monday. For full details on collection schedule changes and to sign-up for collection reminders by phone, text, or e-mail, visit <http://www.CityofKingston.ca/collection>

Plan a picnic at a park, go for a walk on your favorite trail or park; however you choose to spend your Easter weekend, I hope you take advantage of all that our community has to offer!

Wishing you a safe, fun and happy weekend.

Bryan Paterson,
Mayor
