A horse chestnut tree was planted behind Gordon Hall in recognition of Queen’s employees celebrating 30 and 35 years of service. A drizzling rain kept the crowd under a tent for most of the ceremony as VP Human Resources Rod Morrison and 30-year employee Kathy Beers thanked the crowd.

“It has been an amazing 30 years,” said Ms Beers, an International Educators Training Program assistant at the International Centre. “Queen’s is my home away from home and I treasure the fact that we have a tree planted in our honour.”

One hundred and twenty-five people were honoured recently for 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45 years of dedicated services to Queen’s at the Celebration of Service dinner.
