RELEASE — Canadian startup, RideAlike, a premium vehicle sharing hub where a trusted community of users share, rent and swap vehicles — think Airbnb for cars — (have) announced their launch in Ontario.
RideAlike is a user-friendly platform that offers quick and easy car rental experiences, along with up to $2 million in insurance, for both vehicle renters and car owners in Ontario.
For vehicle renters or “guests”, RideAlike offers a reliable and sustainable method of transportation along with the opportunity to take an extended test drive in the vehicle of their dreams. Vehicle renters conveniently have access to a wide variety of vehicles with no membership fee. The safety of vehicle renters is ensured by 24-hour roadside assistance, convenient pickup/drop off locations, completely digital interactions, professionally sanitized vehicles, verified hosts and access to RideAlike support.
Vehicle owners, or “hosts” have the freedom to set pricing, set rules for vehicle renters and set their vehicle’s availability. With RideAlike, car owners can earn over $750 a month, offering a great opportunity for secondary income.
Unlike traditional car rental services, RideAlike allows local car owners to make a profit from their vehicles and helps vehicle renters find affordable and luxury car rentals. Unique to RideAlike is the ability for owners to swap vehicles – a car for a truck or van, or one sports car for a different sports car.
RideAlike marketplace is available in the iOS App Store and through Android Google play.
RideAlike is a Canadian startup that was dreamed up in 2019 by a unique leadership team: Airbnb Superhost, Zelani Bhuiyan, the former head of innovation at CIBC, Phil Griffiths, and female founder, Abeda Bhuiyan. Together, they noticed a lack of car sharing services in Canada that benefits both the renter and the owner and set out to change it.
Their mission is to build a trusted community by giving car owners the opportunity to profit from their vehicles, help vehicle renters find affordable and luxury car rentals, and help the environment.
