Proof of Vaccination No Longer Required at City-Operated Recreation and Cultural Facilities

Published on: 2022/03/01 - in Releases

RELEASE — Effective today, March 1, 2022, the City of Kingston will no longer ask residents for proof of vaccination at all municipally operated recreation and cultural facilities.

The update follows changes by the Province of Ontario which no longer requires businesses and organizations to check proof of vaccination to enter settings.

Mandatory masking requirements remain in accordance with the provincial public health measures. Passive screening for COVID-19 symptoms is also required.

Reservations for drop-in recreation activities remain in place. By making a reservation, recreation patrons can browse and register for their favourite programs from home – and secure a spot at their preferred time. Preregistration for all registered and drop-in programs is available 7 days a week at CityofKingston.ca/PLAY.

More information about how these changes impact Kingston Grand Theatre can also be found on their website.
