The Entrepreneur Centre and Queen’s University Career Services will be hosting a Summer Company Information Session on Monday, March 11 from 1:00pm – 3:00pm in Gordon Hall to promote the Summer Company Program to Queen’s University students. Funded by the Government of Ontario, the Summer Company Program supports selected students between the ages of 15-29 years grants of up to $3,000 to start their own business.

KEDCO is a proud sponsor and participant in the upcoming KEYS Job Centre Job Fair that will take place on March 5-6 at the K-Rock Centre in Kingston.
The Student Summer Jobs Expo will take place on March 5 from 1:00pm-5:00pm and a job fair for part-time and full-time employment will take place on March 6 from 11:00am-5:00pm. Over 3,000 job seekers are expected to attend. (Event poster on Facebook)
Tourism Kingston
Rob Carnegie, Director of Tourism Marketing and Development, attended a presentation by the Canadian Urban Institute (CUI) on February 20 on the development of a cultural resource mapping application for Kingston. Tourism Kingston is working closely with the City of Kingston Cultural Services Department and local stakeholders to develop a cultural resource mapping database and mapping application in response to one of the key recommendations in the Kingston Culture Plan. The CUI demonstrated a cultural resource database that was developed for the City of London as well as a prototype they are working on for the City of Kingston.
