Hospice Kingston Launches New Website

A new interactive website is helping Hospice Kingston change the way it reaches out to the community.

The site, which launched this past Friday, allows Hospice Kingston to address several audiences at once. With sections directed toward clients, caregivers, volunteers, healthcare professionals and prospective donors, the website allows readers to receive information relevant to the way in which they choose to interact with the agency.

Members of the community can discover our programs and listen to stories from others to learn how Hospice can help. Healthcare professionals can access information about services that can benefit their patients. Volunteers will be able to complete volunteer forms online, which will help expand our volunteer team. Memberships can be purchased or renewed on the website, and donors can read regular updates and witness their support making a difference.

The agency turned to Kingston-based SmallWorld Marketing Group to create the site.

SmallWorld Creative Director and Vice President Tracy John says her company is proud of the project. “The work that Hospice Kingston does is so important,” she says. “They’re about humanity and dignity and kindness, and we believe the community needs to know about their services.” John adds that the website was designed to reflect the friendly, accessible nature of Hospice Kingston’s services.

In addition to the website, SmallWorld also created Hospice Kingston’s new logo (above) and a new tagline, Sharing Your Journey. Hospice Kingston Executive Director Natasha Girard says the tagline aptly sums up what the organization does. “Whether it’s with the journey of our clients and their families or the journey of grief and loss, Hospice Kingston is there every step of the way,” she says.

The new logo features a stylized drawing of a butterfly, the national symbol of hospice palliative care. The butterfly motif figures prominently in the website design.
