Published on: 2016/10/06 - in Releases

Is there any greater public space in Canada than Springer Market Square?

Springer Market Square has been nominated as one of Canada’s “Greatest Public Spaces” Canada in the Canadian Institute of Planners’ Great places in Canada contest.

“Anyone who has watched a movie in the Square, or skated in the Square, or who came to the live-streaming of The Tragically Hip concert in Springer Market Square knows there’s no better public space. Show the Square how much you love it by voting,” says Jaclyn Grimmon, the City of Kingston’s manager recreation programs.

Kingstonians can vote for it to win the honour at greatplacesincanada.ca/vote/ until Monday, Oct. 17.
