Ride Kingston Transit for free city-wide all day on Saturday, Oct. 1 – Princess St. Promenade festival day.
“The Princess St. Promenade celebrates active transportation – and taking Kingston Transit is one way to make your trips downtown more active and environmentally-friendly. This will be a great opportunity for the people of Kingston to see just how easy it is to ride with Transit. The free transportation on Oct. 1 will be a great way for people to explore our city and see, first-hand just how efficient Kingston Transit really is,” says Jeremy Da Costa, Manager of Kingston Transit.
Plan your bus trip with Google Transit at kingstontransit.ca/tripplanner.
This DowntownKingston! event is designed to make Princess Street a pedestrian-friendly, vehicular-free festival zone, to promote the use of active transportation (walking, cycling or riding Kingston Transit) to get downtown. Kingston’s main street will be closed 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. from Barrie to Ontario Streets.
Retailers, restaurants and other Promenade participants offer activities throughout this day-long event.
