Kingston Fire & Rescue’s FireFit Team is holding a car wash and Kids Junior Firefit Challenge from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 5 at Station 7, 905 Woodbine Rd.

Billed as “The Toughest Two Minutes in Sports,” the Scott FireFit Championship’s obstacle course tests the strength, speed and agility of firefighters who are required to complete a series of fire-fighting-related tasks in full gear.

The funds raised will help Kingston’s Fire and Rescue’s FireFit team get to the Canadian National Championships being held in Longueuil, Quebec from September 10 to 14.
