Kingston’s Shout Sister! choir is making a “joyful noise” for Dress for Success Kingston. Georgette Fry directs as the choir continues Shout Sister’s tradition of giving back to the community.
The choir dedicates its annual fundraiser to helping communities and are also found throughout the year performing at other fundraisers and at senior’s homes. Performances are joyful occasions and audiences respond with delight to their enthusiasm and energy.
The concert will take place on Tuesday, June 11 – doors open at 6:30pm and the show begins at 7pm – in Crossroads United Church, 690 Sir John A MacDonald Blvd. (map)
This is an all-ages show so bring the whole family. Tickets are $10 and available from choir members or at the door. Children under 12 y/o are free.
Shout Sister! Choir
There are 25 chapters of Shout Sister! Choir in Ontario and we are constantly growing.
Shout Sister! takes an unorthodox approach to choral singing. We do not audition and we sing a fun variety of music from pop and Motown, to folk, to a touch of country and blues. We learn from recorded tracks so we require no reading of music. Our method is fresh and fun and we are a warm and welcoming community.
