Faculty members at Queen’s University have until Friday, October 15 to book their regalia if they need to do so in order to participate in the academic procession during fall convocation ceremonies.
“Faculty participation is a vital part of convocation and we want to make sure they have every opportunity to do so,” says Brent Cameron, convocations and communications administrator.
Faculty members can confirm their participation, as well as book regalia, by filling out this on-line form. While faculty members are welcome to confirm their attendance in the period leading up to the ceremonies, the deadline for those booking regalia is October 15.
Personal convocation invitations have been emailed to faculty members. If faculty members have not received that email, they can go to the convocation website to access the form.
Should faculty members have difficulty submitting their form, they can contact Mr. Cameron directly at (613) 533-6000 extension 74050 or by email.
Convocation ceremonies will occur at Grant Hall on Thursday, October 28 at 10 am and 2:30 pm, and on Friday, October 29 at 10 am and 2:30 pm. The full convocation schedule including the department or faculty breakdown is posted on the University Registrar website.
For the purposes of assembling the academic procession, faculty members must arrive at Kingston Hall Room 209 no later than 30 minutes prior to the convocation ceremony.
