Man Assaults Woman for Cutting His Cocaine Too Slowly

Kingston Police released the following report earlier today.

Man Assaults Common-Law Over Illegal Drugs

A 31-year-old local man was charged with multiple counts of assault after attacking his common-law, allegedly over her not dividing up his cocaine quickly enough for him.

On February 6, 2017 at approximately 6:00 a.m. police were called to a north end residence for a domestic disturbance in progress. The victim was found in the driveway with visible injuries to her head and face. The accused was caught fleeing the scene in the victim’s vehicle.

Officers began an investigation and learned that in the early morning hours the accused and the victim, his common-law, were in their residence. The accused became angry with the victim allegedly over her not dividing up his cocaine quickly enough for him.

The accused pushed the victim to the floor and tried to drag her out of the home. The victim advised that she was going to call police and the accused took her cell phone and punched her repeatedly in the head and face before leaving.

The accused returned sometime later and confronted the victim over a male she had spoken with the evening before. The accused pushed the victim off the bed and up against a wall, where he held her by the throat. The victim was able to break free and eventually flee from the residence to call police.

The accused was transported to police headquarters where he was held to attend a bail hearing the following day.

Police learned that a previous undisclosed assault that occurred on January 1, 2018. The accused shoved the victim off the bed during an argument and she struck her head. The accused was charged with 3 counts of assault.
