RELEASE — Cheers! KFPL is raising the bar on virtual happy hours with Ales & Tales, a refreshing partnered program with Spearhead Brewing Company. Learn about the brewing process and sample a variety of beers by having a six-pack delivered to your home.
“Patio weather is coming and beer literacy will help everyone make their best selections for the seasons ahead,” said Jake Miller, Librarian, Adult Programming. “Having Spearhead work with KFPL is a great chance to develop your palate and make beer a conversation piece.”
On Apr. 21 from 7 to 8 p.m., Spearhead president Josh Hayter will share the history of the brewery, local brewing and details about the brews available for Ales & Tales.
- Amber of the North – Amber ale
- Hawaiian Style Pale Ale – West Coast style IPA
- Lighter Lager – Easy drinking lager
- NEIPA – East Coast style IPA
- Queen of Wheat – Belgian style wheat beer
- Green Tea Saison – Floral / slightly sweet / Saison ale
A six-pack plus delivery is included in the cost of $20. Cans are 16 oz. so participants will have plenty of beer to invite a friend or two to taste with you or keep some in the refrigerator for a later time.
Register for this program online or by calling 613-549-8888. There are limited spaces available, so be sure to sign up as soon as possible.
