Close Competition at 2022 Kingston Sheep Dog Trials Festival

RELEASE — With a score of 243, Hazel the border collie, owned by Mary Minor, was the top dog at the 34th annual Kingston Sheep Dog Trials presented by Subaru of Kingston held Aug. 5 to 7 at Grass Creek Park.

Gwen the border collie, owned by Mary Ann Duffy, came in second with 234 points. Barbara Ray and her border collie Dan came in third place with 233 points. Go to the Kingston Sheep Dog Trials website for full results.

The three-day event included side attractions like three daily agility shows with Absolute Agility, local food, and marketplace vendors, spinning and weaving demos from the Kingston Handloom Weavers and Spinner Guild on Saturday, Dog Lovers Days Canadian Canine Lure Course and demonstrations.

The Kingston Sheep Dog Trials Festival is a Top 100 Festival and Events Ontario winner. Organizers want to thank Subaru of Kingston, all attendees, trial participants, volunteers and sponsors for making this event such a success.
