RELEASE — The City is seeking artist proposals for this year’s Paved Paradise project, a temporary public art exhibit that first debuted in 2018. The exhibit includes seven pedestrian-level billboards located on the north side of Brock Street at Ontario Street, in the heart of downtown Kingston. The 2022 installation will be in place from June to November. The deadline to apply is Friday, April 15 at 3 p.m.
The goal for Paved Paradise 2022 is that the public artwork should be vibrant and visually captivating and enhance the area as a welcoming, inclusive, and people-oriented space. The call is open to all Kingston-based artists, creatives, and collectives, including but not limited to mural and street artists, painters, photographers, illustrators (drawings), mixed media artists and printmakers.
