RELEASE — This year the City is aiming to make its New Year’s Eve celebration – K-Town Countdown – bigger and better than ever by moving it to the INVISTA Centre, 1350 Gardiners Rd.
This family-friendly event will take place Tuesday, Dec. 31 from 5 to 9 p.m. The move to the INVISTA Centre allows the City to offer more public skating, staged performances, and lots of free activities to ring in 2020, including:
- public skating in three rinks, each featuring music from a different radio station, including Rogers K-Rock 105.7, Pure Country 99 and Fresh 104.3.
- ice dancing and figure skating performances on the Desjardins Agents Insurance Rink.
- free activities and performers, including: Wishing Trees, Zoo to You educational animal exhibit, mobile hair salon, magic shows, ventriloquist, hypnotist, face-painting, glitter tattoos, fun photo booths and Playtrium costume characters and spinning prize wheel.
Kids travel free on Kingston Transit, so plan to get there by bus using the Trip Planner at KingstonTransit.ca or your favourite transit app.
