City Opening Outdoor Aqua Park on July 6

RELEASE — Grab your swimsuit and get ready for cool summer fun – the City will open the Outdoor Aqua Park, 303 York St., on Monday, July 6.

The 25 metre lane pool, leisure pool and spray features will be open daily for casual use.

Pool patrons can expect a fun and safe experience when they visit the Outdoor Aqua Park this summer. COVID-19 safety precautions include:

  • Closure of the water slide, diving board and lazy river in accordance with Stage 2 reopening regulations
  • Timed entry sessions on a drop-in basis
  • Signage throughout the facility to remind patrons to practice physical distancing
  • Significantly reduced capacity to allow for physical distancing
  • Increased cleaning and sanitation between sessions

Staff are exploring aquatic programming options for all ages and abilities, including for leisure, parent and tot, family and lane swimming and aqua fitness classes. More details about specific aquatic programs, operating hours and admission will be available on the City’s website by July 6.
