RELEASE — The St. Vincent de Paul Society of Kingston serve meals free of charge is in the midst of their first Annual Fall Fundraising Campaign and they need your help. Because of the rising cost of food and increased demand for services, the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Kingston is seeking support from the Kingston Community.
For over 50 years, 85 Stephen Street has been a safe place to gather for those who are living in poverty. It is a refuge from the harsh realities of a life lived without enough. Not enough food, love, companionship, or hope. They believe that all persons are deserving of respect and compassion regardless of their personal or life circumstances. That is why they serve meals free of charge, at the table and with a smile from a friendly volunteer.
Over the last seven years, there has been a 52% increase in the number of meals served in their meal program. The St. Vincent de Paul Society of Kingston is a not-for-profit agency committed to providing practical assistance and support to individuals and families living in Kingston.
