Recreation Guide Offers Ways to Stay Active this Fall & Winter

RELEASE — Find great ways to stay active this fall and winter in the City of Kingston’s Recreation and Leisure Guide. Find it inside this week’s Kingston This Week or download it by clicking on the cover image at CityofKingston.ca/PLAY.

There are dozens of fall and winter programs to serve a variety of interests and needs. Here are just a few examples: Choir for the Blind, preschool Little Blades, morning yoga, musical theatre classes, babysitting courses, Defeat the Beat fitness, karate, photography fundamentals, Bollywood dance fitness, Cycle Fit, tarot card reading, aqua Zumba and swim lessons.

 Browse, Choose and Register Early

Registration for fall programs, both in-person and online, begins at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22.

Remember: you will need a PLAY account to register for your programs (creating an account is free). Register early to avoid disappointment. If the class you would like is full, sign up for the wait list (wait lists work!).

To register online:

  • Go to CityofKingston.ca/PLAY .
  • Create or login to your account
  • Click “Program Registration” to search and browse for programs

To register in person visit:

  • Artillery Park Aquatic Centre, 382 Bagot St.,
  • INVISTA Centre, 1350 Gardiners Rd. and/or
  • Rideau Heights Community Centre and Library, 85 MacCauley St.
