City Council meetings move online
The City remains committed to transparency and open government throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. The Municipal Act has been revised to allow meetings to take place online.
City Council will meet tomorrow night at 7 p.m. and residents may follow the action safely from home by:

* Following it @KingstonMeeting on Twitter

Delayed: Recreation program registration
Registration for City-operated recreation programs is delayed until further notice as the start dates for many City programs cannot yet be determined.
Please continue to browse the programs at CityofKingston.ca/PLAY – or take this opportunity to check that your account’s contact information is up-to-date, set up an account and/or opt-in to receive email updates from the City.
Cancelled: April 4 Giveaway Day
The Giveaway Day scheduled for Saturday, April 4 has been cancelled as it is not a safe time to be sharing free items. Please save your items for the next Giveaway Day, currently set for June 20. This date will need to be confirmed closer to that time.
Delayed: Seasonal opening of Household Hazardous Waste Depot
The opening of the Household Hazardous Waste Depot, at 196 Lappan’s Lane, will be delayed until further notice.
Never put hazardous material in with regular garbage or recycling and never pour it down a drain or toilet. Store hazardous material in original containers in a cool, dry place safely away from food, children or pets until you can bring it to the Household Hazardous Waste Depot.
