Vogue Charity Fashion Show – an annual fundraising event supporting local Kingston charities – reports it has partnered this year with Camp Trillium, an agency offering year-round recreational activities and experiences for children battling cancer.
VCFS, a Queen’s University organization that strives to actively engage and support the local Kingston community, also announced it has received a generous donation from Kawartha Credit Union.
The organization was selected to receive the donation due to its philanthropic initiatives and for fostering a sense of community both at Queen’s and in Kingston.
Since 1997, VCFS has raised and donated over $350,000 to deserving Kingston charities, including last year when it supported the Happy Soul Project with a $37,000 donation.
Constantly aiming to surpass their previous fundraising, Kawartha Credit Union’s donation of $1000 this year will go towards VCFS’s new goal of raising $50,000.
Entering its 20th year, Vogue Charity Fashion Show has grown to become one of the largest student-run organizations on campus, as well as one of the most highly anticipated events within the Queen’s and Kingston communities.
The fashion show is a fun, vibrant and artistic community event, comprised of over 130 talented Queen’s students who contribute countless hours as models, dancers, singers, clothing designers, and on the executive organizing committee.
This year, Fossa Hair Studio and Esthetics presents ‘Vogue Charity Fashion Show 20‘ at the Kingston Grand Theatre on March 10th, 11th and 12th at 7:30pm.
Tickets can be purchased at the Grand Theatre box office (Monday to Saturday between 12:00pm – 6:00pm) or online at their website.
