Two new webcams have been installed by the City of Kingston – one at Confederation Park and the other at Portsmouth Olympic Harbour.
These new webcams are in addition to the existing two that overlooking Springer Market Square behind City Hall and at Breakwater Park.
“These new webcams showcase two exciting public waterfront spaces,” said Luke Follwell, director of recreation and leisure services. “They will help us show potential visitors what Kingston has to offer in the way of views and facilities – but we know the webcams will also be well used by those just daydreaming of sitting down by the shore.”
The City says that celebrating and promoting Kingston waterfront is ‘a guiding principle of the City’s Waterfront Master Plan’, recognized in 2017 with a Canadian Society of Landscape Architect’s National Award of Excellence.
