South Frontenac Township has unveiled an updated version of its main website, southfrontenac.net, designed to help residents and visitors find information more efficiently. The new site features a clean and engaging visual design with simplified navigation, while maintaining the same basic menu structure and robust Google search functionality to ensure a smooth transition for users.
The website is now optimized for mobile devices, making it accessible from smartphones, tablets, and computers. Additionally, residents can subscribe to receive news alerts and the Township’s monthly newsletter.
The revamped website includes several new and updated sections. The Festivals and Events page highlights upcoming events and signature festivals. The Building and Planning sections have been improved to make it easier to locate forms, fees, and applications. New Residents and Visitor Information pages have been added to help newcomers and visitors find essential information quickly.
“Our goal was to make it easier for people to find the most important and searched-for information, like fire ban status, quickly through menus and icons, but also use visuals to tell the story of what it’s like to live and visit here,” said Louise Fragnito, Chief Administrative Officer. “The photos showcase the natural beauty of our region and reflect the warm, welcoming, and thriving community that is South Frontenac.”
Residents are encouraged to explore the new site and update any old bookmarks. While redirect links have been established for the most frequently accessed pages from the old site, outdated bookmarks may lead to broken links.
