The Kingston Military Family Resource Centre (KMFRC) will host the Canadian Walk for Veterans (CWFV) on September 22, marking the third year the event has been held in Kingston.
The walk, which aims to raise awareness and honour Canadian military members, veterans, and their families, is supported by the Order of St. George and the Royal Canadian Legion.
The event will take place from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., starting at the KMFRC at 32 Lundy’s Lane. This year’s theme, “A Veteran’s Recovery Journey,” emphasizes the importance of supporting veterans as they navigate the recovery process. Participants are encouraged to walk in solidarity with veterans and their families, with individuals, companies, and community partners invited to join as groups.
The event will feature guest speakers, live music by Music Healing Veterans, a free barbecue, free coffee, and a variety of family-friendly activities.
