KFL&A Public Health has officially declared Sydenham Point Park Beach, located at 4410 Point Rd, safe for swimming once again. The announcement was made on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at 3 pm.
KFL&A Public Health, responsible for monitoring water quality at all municipally owned or operated public beaches within the Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox & Addington region, follows specific guidelines to determine the safety of these areas. According to the Health Unit, two consecutive tests within the regulatory limits are required to declare the water suitable for swimming.
In light of this announcement, the Township will resume its swimming lessons starting on July 12. Parents of children registered for the lessons will be informed of the resumption.
