Kingston Residents Invited to Serve on City Committees

Residents of the City of Kingston are invited to share their experience and expertise by serving on a municipal advisory committee or commission. From January 9 to 20, eligible residents can apply to serve on the Rural Advisory Committee, the Kingston Heritage Properties Committee, the Kingston Heritage Programs Committee, the Committee of Adjustment, or the Kingston and Area Taxi Commission.

Detailed information about the committees and their specific mandates is available at CityofKingston.ca/Committees.

To be eligible to serve on most committees or boards, applicants must be at least 18 years old, a resident or business owner in Kingston, and either a Canadian citizen or permanent resident who has lived in Kingston for at least one year.

Applications can be submitted online at CityofKingston.ca/Committees, by calling 613-546-0000 to request a paper application, or in person at City Hall (216 Ontario St.) in the City Clerk’s Department.

The deadline to submit applications is 4 p.m. on Friday, January 20.
