The City of Kingston is seeking the community’s feedback on where it could place rest area benches along a planned 840 m multi-use path stretching from one end of Queen Mary Road, just above Bath Road, to the end of Parkway, just below Princess Street.

“Recent public engagement on the draft Active Transportation Implementation Plan showed us that this multi-use pathway is a priority for residents,” said Ian Semple, director, transportation services. “It will create connections with existing cycling infrastructure in the area, building on the active transportation network across the city.”

Input on where benches could be located will be considered in the final design for the pathway and must be submitted by Thursday, August 8 at GetInvolved.CityofKingston.ca.

Construction of the the hard-surface path is scheduled to start in the spring of 2020 and coincide with Utilities Kingston work to install a new sewer line beneath the path area.
