Community members are invited to start the new year by attending the annual New Year’s Levee and meeting with Mayor Bryan Paterson, city councillors, Ted Hsu, Member of Provincial Parliament, and Mark Gerretsen, Member of Federal Parliament. The event will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Memorial Hall, City Hall, located at 216 Ontario Street.

Mayor Paterson says, “The New Year’s Levee is a time-honored tradition here in Kingston. It’s a great opportunity for residents to chat with their local representatives. I look forward to welcoming Kingstonians to City Hall January 10th as we head into a new council term and a new year!”

In addition to the opportunity to meet with local representatives, the event will also feature a New Year’s welcome from the Town Crier and a poem from the City’s Poet Laureate, Sadiqa de Meijer. Don’t miss out on this chance to start the new year by engaging with your community and local government.
