City of Kingston Defers Final Property Tax Bill

Published on: 2020/06/18 - in News

The City of Kingston has announced its final property tax bill has been deferred as a way to provide some relief to property owners during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We’ve deferred the bill in recognition of the financial hardship many property owners have been experiencing due to the pandemic,” said Jeff Walker, Manager, Taxation & Revenue in a release. “Don’t worry! You haven’t missed it. We simply have not sent out the final property tax bill, yet.”

A revised billing schedule is yet to be determined but will be shared with the community as soon as it is available.

Residents should also be aware of changes to municipal pandemic measures over the coming weeks.
