Neighbourhood Tree Planting Program Returns

Kingston’s Neighbourhood Tree Planting Program returns in 2022, with the City making discounted trees available for residents to help grow our community’s tree canopy.

Beginning today, ten different species of trees are available for purchase on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

Up to two trees per property can be purchased by property owners within the City – coniferous trees selling for $10 and deciduous trees are $17 (HST included).

“Trees provide shade, store greenhouse gasses, help remove pollutants from groundwater, prevent soil erosion, and beautify our community,” said Troy Stubinski, Public Works Operations Manager. “Purchasing a tree is an excellent way to improve your property and help grow our canopy – which benefits all Kingstonians.”

Orders can be made online, by phone, or in person at select City locations. Visit the City’s Neighbourhood Trees page for details.
