The Royal Canadian Navy will host a small boat exercise at His Majesty’s Canadian Ship (HMCS) Cataraqui in Kingston, Ontario, from Saturday, October 26 to Sunday, October 27, 2024. This event, known as Exercise RIDEAU GUARD, will involve more than 100 sailors from Naval Reserve Divisions across Ontario.

The exercise will focus on practical training both on land and on the water, with the primary goal of enhancing the emergency response capabilities of the Naval Reservists participating.

Media representatives have been invited to attend HMCS Cataraqui to observe the exercise, interview leaders, speak with sailors, capture footage of the activities, and participate in a ride-along in small boats on the St. Lawrence River.

The event will take place at HMCS Cataraqui, located at 24 Navy Way, Kingston, Ontario, over the course of the two-day training period.
