A pair of Kingston friends are now celebrating a second prize win in the LOTTO MAX October 13, 2020 draw.

Dorothy Haines and Lucien Mercier of Kingston took home $165,082.30 after matching six numbers plus the bonus number on a ticket purchased at Circle K on Sutherland Drive here in Kingston.

The duo said they are regular lottery players and have been playing as a group for 30 years.

“We play LOTTO 6/49, ONTARIO 49 and LOTTO MAX,” they said while picking up their winnings at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto. Dorothy also shared that the numbers they picked for that ticket had come to her in a dream where they won the lottery!

Dorothy added she used the OLG Lottery App to scan their ticket when she got the big surprise. “I called out to Lucien and told him that I think we won something big! To this day he won’t believe it until the cheque is in our hands,” she laughed.

Both say they plan to use the winnings to pay bills and share with their kids. “We keep thinking how unbelievable and awesome this all is,” they concluded.
