Published on: 2022/12/16 - in News

Discover the story of your family history in 2023 with Genealogy One-on-One sessions at the Kingston Frontenac Public Library.

Led by KFPL’s Local History Librarian, Anne Hall, these 30-minute Zoom sessions offer the opportunity to work on your family tree and conduct genealogy research online.

The sessions will take place at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesdays from January 18th to February 22nd, 2023. Hall will be available to answer questions and provide tips and suggestions to help registrants overcome any roadblocks in their genealogy research.

“Libraries are a treasure trove of information for either beginning or experienced genealogists,” said Hall. “These one-on-one sessions can help you dig deeper to overcome roadblocks and get practical advice to turn your curiosity about family history into results.”

To participate, registration is required for each weekly session and will close one week ahead of the event. When registering, Hall asks that participants share details about their question or problem. Please note, only one session per person is allowed.

Registration for all six sessions will open at 9 a.m. on Saturday, December 31st, online at one of the following links or by phone at (613) 549-8888:

To register, a KFPL card is required. Those without a card can sign up online at register.kfpl.ca.
