Dozens of Tires Slashed in Kingston Neighbourhood

Published on: 2016/08/30 - in News

Kingston Police report they are investigating upwards of 30 reports of tires being slashed overnight in the Uxbridge Crescent neighbourhood.

People residing in that area are asked to check their vehicles for damage and, if discovered, should notify police by using their online online reporting tool.

Filing the report online is the preferred method as police say they have received many phone calls about this vandalism and, due to high call volume, there may be a lengthy wait time for future calls.

However, anyone who is unable to file a report online can still phone the department’s non-emergency line at 613-549-4660.

An officer may not be dispatched to each complaint, but officers have been canvassing the area to photograph each act of mischief.

In a statement posted online, police report that “detectives had been working diligently on the case since first thing this morning, and are making good progress.”

More details will be provided by Kingston Police as they become available. Anyone with information about who may have committed these acts should contact police at 613-549-4660.
