The City of Kingston has announced it will be reinstating hourly parking payments at some locations beginning June 8, 2020 to ensure short-term parking availability.

Effective June 8, hourly parking payments will be reinstated and enforced at a number of locations in the city, including:

  • Several streets located in the institutional area. Refer to the hourly parking payment area map available at the City’s COVID-19 page for specific streets.
  • Frontenac County Court House Parking Lot.
  • Waterfront Parking Lot.
  • Richardson Beach Parking Lot.

Hourly parking payments will continue to be waived in other areas with any new changes to hourly parking payments being posted in the coming weeks as businesses and other services begin to open again.

On-street time-of-day parking restrictions remain lifted, including the residential parking permit areas, to allow commuters, health-care workers, and residents who are working from home with longer-term parking options.
