The 4th Annual Gord Brown Memorial Golf Tournament, held in support of United Way Leeds & Grenville and the YMCA of Eastern Ontario, has set a new fundraising record, underscoring the generosity of the region. This year’s event raised $218,580, marking a significant achievement for both organizations.

The funds, which include proceeds from live and silent auctions, will be divided between United Way Leeds & Grenville and the YMCA of Eastern Ontario. These resources will be directed towards programs supporting the most vulnerable members of the community.

“We are so pleased to be able to support the great work of MP Gord Brown and his family by raising money for the community,” said Hailie Jack, Executive Director of United Way Leeds & Grenville. “Gord really set a standard of care and the Brown family is carrying on that legacy by helping to sustain local programs and services for those who most need them.”

The tournament featured appearances by Larry Robinson, Todd Gill, and Jay McClement, who engaged with participants by signing memorabilia and posing for photographs.

“Larry, Todd, and Jay added to people’s enjoyment of the day, and their participation helped to raise money for the Y’s financial assistance program and other worthy community programs funded by the United Way,” said Rob Adams, CEO of the YMCA of Eastern Ontario. “On behalf of our two organizations, I want to thank our sponsors, golfers, staff, volunteers, and both boards of directors who made the event a reality. I also wish to thank the entire Brown family for their support and belief in the YMCA of Eastern Ontario and its impact.”

United Way Leeds & Grenville and the YMCA of Eastern Ontario extended their gratitude to all the sponsors of the Gord Brown Memorial Golf Tournament, acknowledging their invaluable contribution to the event’s success.
