Kingston Cousins Win $100,000 in Lotto 6/49 Encore

The OLG has announced Kingston’s latest lottery winners – cousins Linda Crosier and Mary Pickering, who matched the last six of seven ENCORE numbers in exact order in the May 6, 2020 LOTTO 6/49 draw to win $100,000.

The two told the OLG that they play the lottery together every week, saying “We play LOTTO 6/49 and LOTTO MAX and we always add ENCORE. We always had a pact that if either of us win the lottery, we would share the win.”

Linda said she realized they had a winning ticket while checking tickets at the store. “I scanned it a few times and didn’t believe what I was seeing. I put the ticket in my pocket and went home.”

When Linda shared the news about the win with Mary, she was in just as much disbelief. “We both needed some time to accept the win.”

She plans to use her share of the winnings to fund her retirement and travel when it’s safe, including a trip for the cousins to celebrate the win together.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Circle K on Bath Road in Kingston.
