Cataraqui Community Centre Reopening to Permitted Ice User Groups

Published on: 2020/09/26 - in News

Beginning this Tuesday, September 29, the Cataraqui Community Centre will reopen its two ice surfaces to user groups. Currently, access to the facility is restricted to sports organizations with permitted ice use.

The twin-pad ice facility is located at 1030 Sunnyside Rd. and its reopening is in line with the Province’s Phase Three re-opening framework and guidance from KFL&A Public Health.

“Health and safety measures have been put in place to comply with the Provincial framework and local health protocols,” states a City of Kingston release. “These measures include capacity limits, health screenings and increased cleaning and sanitization, to ensure that the safety of staff and patrons is paramount.”

Ice user groups – including coaches, participants and support persons – can contact the sports organization they belong to for details on accessing the Cataraqui Community Centre and protocols specific to their sport.
