Rideau Heights Community Centre & Library Reopens for Permitted Uses

Published on: 2020/09/09 - in News

The Rideau Heights Community Centre and Library at 85 MacCauley Street began its staggered reopening on Tuesday. The facility is now open Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 9pm, Saturday from 9am to 5pm, and closed on Sundays, while the Rideau Heights branch of the Kingston Frontenac Public Library is set to reopen on Friday, September 11.

Access to the community centre is currently limited to participants who are attending scheduled programs and accessing the public library and residents can contact program partners for further activity-specific updates. These program partners include Boys and Girls Club of Kingston, Loving Spoonful, Seniors Association, and Kingston Frontenac Public Library

Healthcare measures will be in place, such as having individuals enter and exit at the north door (closest to the parking lot), having face coverings worn inside the building as mandated by the Medical Officer of Health for KFL&A, and requiring everyone to physically distance by keeping 2 metres between themselves and others.

As facilities gradually reopen, some programs, services and amenities will not be immediately available. Visit the Rideau Heights Community Centre page for more information.
