Kingston Seeks Feedback Through Child Care and Early Years Community Survey

The City of Kingston is inviting parents and caregivers to provide feedback on the quality, affordability and inclusivity of child care and early years programs in the Kingston Frontenac area through the 2026 Child Care and Early Years Community Survey.

The survey, open until April 2, asks participants to reflect on several aspects of program delivery, including child engagement, communication with families, affordability and accessibility, inclusivity, overall program quality and general satisfaction.

“Hearing directly from families helps us understand what’s working well and where improvements can be made,” said Heather Mitchell, Manager of Social Services and Early Years at the City of Kingston. “The insights we receive play a key role in planning, decision-making, and enhancing programs for children and caregivers across our community.”

The survey is open to anyone who has had experience with child care and early years programs in Kingston Frontenac. This includes participants in EarlyOn programs, Child Care and Before and After school programs, as well as families planning to attend and those who are no longer enrolled.

Information collected through the survey will be used to identify strengths, highlight areas for improvement and guide future planning for child care and early years programs.

The survey is available in English and French and can be accessed through Get Involved Kingston.
