Changes Planned for Parking Around City Park

Published on: 2020/03/09 - in News

Changes are being proposed for parking around City Park and will be presented to City Council this spring. The plan includes addressing the need for more short-term parking around City Park and adding two new accessible parking spaces.

The City’s proposal also adds metered parking along Court Street and on Bagot Street – including two accessible spaces – and converts time-restricted parking on King Street East between Barrie and Maitland to metered parking.

“We’re pleased to offer additional parking options to those who wish to visit and enjoy City Park,” said Greg McLean, Policy and Program Coordinator, Transportation Services. “The proposed changes address the need for more short-term parking around City Park, improving the overall experience for park visitors.”

Community members are invited to review and comment on the proposed accessible parking locations on Bagot Street by 4pm on March 25 at GetInvolved.CityofKingston.ca.
