On Friday, a Kingstonian became the first buyer to take ownership of a Tesla Model 3 outside the United States.
Steve from Kingston was photographed by the Toronto Electric Vehicle Association taking ownership of the red Model 3 and the Model 3 Owners Club drove down to the lot to shoot some video of the big day.
The Model 3 Owners Club had also posted a video two days earlier showing some of the newly arrived Model 3s, counting 17 of the Teslas in a variety of colours at the Toronto holding lot ready for delivery.
The Model 3’s first international owner being a Kingstonian is particularly appropriate, as Elon Musk – Tesla’s co-founder, CEO and Product Architect – spent two years in Kingston studying at Queen’s University in the early 1990s.
