Residents have been invited to participate in an online auction for a chance to Ride to School with Fire & Rescue’s Chief Shawn Armstrong, in support of the United Way of KFL&A.
The online auction runs until October 22 with the highest bidder winning the opportunity to ride to school with the Fire Chief with a Kingston fire truck following behind.
“The United Way serving KFL&A supports so many people and charities in our community, providing them support and resources when they need it most,” said Armstrong. “Kingston Fire and Rescue is proud to do its part to help this great organization.”
The United Way’s annual campaign is supported by City of Kingston employees who have set a goal to fundraise $95,000 for the City’s official charity.
The United Way invests in more than 70 programs that support residents, helping them when they need it the most. In 2020, United Way local agencies helped more than 79,000 members of our community through funded programs.
