The Kingston Symphony Volunteers are set to host their annual “All Things Christmas, Gifts & Art Sale” at the Kingston Symphony Warehouse, located at 785 Sir John A. Macdonald Boulevard, from November 22 to November 24, 2024. This event presents an opportunity for shoppers to purchase holiday gifts and artwork at competitive prices.
The sale will feature a diverse array of holiday-themed items and decorations, including Christmas trees, wreaths, linens, dolls, puzzles from brands such as Ravensburger, candles, figurines, and dinnerware. Organizers emphasize that the items available are donations of quality goods, suitable for gifting during the Christmas season or other special occasions.
In recent years, the event’s art section has expanded significantly, effectively transforming the warehouse into an informal art gallery. Shoppers can expect to find original paintings, signed and numbered prints by prominent Canadian artists such as Robert Bateman and Ernest Loates, as well as etchings and watercolors. This year’s offerings include a collection of unframed paintings by regional artist B. Evers, noted for their vibrant, non-figurative style. These pieces are attractively priced for group purchases.
Additionally, the sale will feature various posters, pottery handcrafted by local artisans, wood carvings, and a selection of antiques. Of particular note is the jewelry section, which includes both new and pre-owned items, highlighted by Paul Smits’ collection of fused glass pendants and rings set in sterling silver.
The event aims to cater to both gift shoppers and art enthusiasts alike. Whether visitors are looking to complete their Christmas shopping lists or seeking artwork to enhance their living spaces, the sale offers a wide range of options, including landscapes, portraits, and prints of various sizes.
The sale will run from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, November 22, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 23, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 24. Further details and a full event listing are available on the Kingston Symphony’s website: kingstonsymphony.ca.
